Bill Simms

With over 30 years in high-speed design and development, Bill has worked the last 23 years at NVIDIA as a SERDES designer, manager, and now head of the Industry Standards Group.  He started is career at NVIDIA as lead designer for the analog PHY of PCIe gen1 and continued to design and lead other SERDES projects.  He has served as the PHY Subgroup Chair, Technical Workgroup Chair, and Treasurer for the HDMI Forum Board of Directors.  He has received several patents on both SERDES and memory design.  Bill received a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and graduate level studies at the University of Arizona.
